So a Judge in Tennessee ruled that a baby cannot be named Messiah because

 "The word Messiah is a title and it's a title that has only been earned by one person and that one person is Jesus Christ,” Ballew said, according to WBIR-TV."

Now 1st Amendment issues about Church and State aside that is not what the word "Messiah" means. Messiah is a Hebrew word that is defined as " the awaited redeemer of the Jews, to be sent by God to free them". By this definition one could say that General Patton was a Messiah to the Jews in the concentration camps he freed but you really can't say the Jesus freed the Jews from anything.
